Bored as FCUK

Today is one of those days when nothing happens

Never say RETIRE already!

Yeah yeah there goes Jay-Z again with a new song and a new album. I thought this MOFO had retired? not only is he coming out with a new album... one thing "jigga man" has become very proficient at is promoting himself and maybe Budweiser, there is even word out that other artists on the Def Jam label have become a bit dis-enchanted with jigga because of his attention solely to his career and that of Beyonce since becoming President of the company.
Some like Redman and ?uestlove of The Roots have come forward lambasting the Jiggaman and his ability.

Since we're talking about Jay-Z here, I might as well go another step and mention his appearance in an ad for Budweiser , It's understood that everyone's gotta do some commercials to get easy money without some form of law enforcement on your ass but... I digress, Jay's Bud ads are just pure lame and idiotic. I mean come on man you could have done ads for better sh*t.

How about doing an ad for that new car that parallel parks itself? yeah no sh*t. How cool would that be?

Big Customer service

After complaining in another post a while back. I was surprised to see in my web counter details that I'd received visitors or a visitor from Stockholm Sweden and not just anywhere in Sweden but what do you know? Lavasoft's own headquarters. Case in point... a screen grab of that web counter details.

I don't want to be the conspiracy theorist here but if a company can locate any mention of their product on the internet, just maybe they can make sure that the said products doesn't compromise their customers computers.

All Amped out

With more than a hundred energy drinks being launched this year and last year alone, believe me. It leaves me to ponder one thing. Why the hell don't people just sleep an extra hour or something. Yeah yeah I understand that you might have to have some Redbull in your shot at some bar or whatever.

On the other hand, if some dumb marketer is sitting in a boardroom somewhere and saying to themselves: people are buying this sh*t like zombies, its like brain matter or blood to them. If you're going to work in a major city, why don't you just take some public transportation, and again I understand that there is a chance... maybe one in a million that you might have a homeless dude sit next to you and get an early nut off but hey, I would think that would be worth an extra hour or two of nap while you commute to work.
Just a thought

Network me

How many social network sites will there be?
and how many god dang e-mails will a dude get from people who have my e-mail address asking me to join them all. So far heres what I've received from individuals on my contact list.

FACEBOX - I mean dang.... somebody had to try to ride on Facebook's style real soon.

BEBO - I don't know about this one but it just has a dumb name.

CLASSMATES - why the hell would I want to know all those people again?

Hi5- I get invites for this stupid site all the time, if its called Hi5...its something I should be doing as a celebration.

TAGWORLD - Damn it... I tried so hard to get this one.

The true meaning of Halloween

Halloween has long gone the way of it's cousin holidays like Christmas and Easter. Halloween which I suppose was intended to be All Souls day... although I could really give a damn because I honestly don't know what All Souls day is suppose to be.

My only concern here is the sluttyfication of what was "suppose" to be a holiday for dead people. Ever the pondering fool that I be; I realized the true meaning of Halloween after over thinking on my down time.

Halloween: a holiday where girls who are sluts deep down inside but are afraid to physically manifest this inner desire in the form of dress etc. because of fear of reprisals from society i.e family, friends; play "dress-up" to actually manifest who they are without being labeled actual sluts in real life . ( I wish Merriam-Webster would be renamed Merriam-Claudester)

IE7 vs Firefox 2.0

It seems like Microsoft is playing catch up or at least trying to play catch up with Mozilla and their ever so sweet browser Firefox. It just seems that they don't get how to do something right. It was interesting to read BBC's article comparing the two new browsers: IE 7 and Firefox 2.0.

COmputer Breakdown

Screw all those guys are lavasoft. Oh yeah...so you managed to make an anti-malware that helps people get rid of spyware and pop up ads but guess what they didn't tell you. Yeah... it'll mess up your entire hard drive and make all .EXE files unexecutable. I mean, seriously what if I hadn't gotten that copy of Ad-Aware and Ad watch for free; I would have been furious but because I did infact get them for free.... I worked more than three days straight getting my registry back to where it had been before Ad-aware messed it up and its still not doing so great. Damn You people at Lavasoft!

Perpetuality

Ever being the media hog that I am, after seeing that Yahoo was creating a digital time capsule to be opened in 2020--something to mark their 20th something anniversary and that they were accepting submissions for anything digital into the capsule.
I obliged and submitted my first song which I'd recorded a very long time ago on my phone.
I'd put that song into another blog entry a while back, and entitled it GUITAR PRACTICE

Hey you can also add something to the time capsule!...anonymous stranger

Night train to Yokohama

It's four in the morning, and I'm writing this letter to see how you're doing
my heart is cold but I like how I'm living
The last time I knew you, I felt so much better
you treated me to a piece of your heart and when I came back I was no longer me
When you see mother Reiko, I send my regards.
What can I say... my friend, my captor; like the strangers I've met
hope you're living for something and not for nothing now
when your plane left the city by the bay, I was never there
did you feel clear....
I send my regards.

Firefox 2.0

After waiting for a while for FIREFOX 2.0 to become available for download. I finally was able to download FIREFOX 2.0 to my computer. Just for posterity I wanted to see what the previous interface would look like compared to the new one.

Firefox 1.0.5.7
(after my first update, I lost the ability to search in the top search bar. WTF?)

Firefox 2.0
(Hey I can search again...! but wait look below, my add ons aren't compatible anymore. No biggie...I know developers were waiting)

The Waiting game

It's a waiting game as dedicated users all around the world wait for the arrival of the new FIREFOX 2.0.

Save room

Boy am I glad about the release of John Legend's new album. I've waited for ages for his next project after his Freshman debut which I personally thought was the best R & B album released in about half a decade.

On Dane Cook

For a while, I've come acroos a few people who just happen to be ardent fans of comedian Dane Cook whose comedy I don't really find all that funny, but then again thats just me. Thats why I took time to read Slates magazine article regarding Dane Cook and his style of comedy.

The Partisan

Leonard Cohen weaves a great story about the french resistance to the German invasion. Listening to this song is better than watching any war movie. The pure display of emotion and dramatic flair is undeniable. the most beautiful part is the vocal section in french sang by Cohen and his female vocal backers.
"She died without a whisper"..... undeniablybeautiful mental imagery.

When they poured across the border
I was cautioned to surrender,
this I could not do;
I took my gun and vanished.

I have changed my name so often,
I've lost my wife and children
but I have many friends,
and some of them are with me.

An old woman gave us shelter,
kept us hidden in the garret,
then the soldiers came;
she died without a whisper.

There were three of us this morning
I'm the only one this evening
but I must go on;
the frontiers are my prison.

Oh, the wind, the wind is blowing,
through the graves the wind is blowing,
freedom soon will come;
then we'll come from the shadows.

Les Allemands e'taient chez moi,
ils me dirent, "Signe toi,"
mais je n'ai pas peur;
j'ai repris mon arme.
J'ai change' cent fois de nom,
j'ai perdu femme et enfants
mais j'ai tant d'amis;
j'ai la France entie`re.
Un vieil homme dans un grenier
pour la nuit nous a cache',
les Allemands l'ont pris;
il est mort sans surprise.

Oh, the wind, the wind is blowing,
through the graves the wind is blowing,
freedom soon will come;
then we'll come from the shadows.

youre space

I have noticed that of all the social networking sites, My Space seems to be the most prolific purveyor of bad language. The occasional typo is understandable but, I don't know if some people have the idea that writing something in the way it was not suppose to be writen makes them "coo".

(all of my post don't have to ohave substance.... not quit bugging me woman)

The Begining

Amazing how I could write almost 50 pages of a book in two days on the Misisippi River when I can't find any time to edit it while at school although I do seem to have a lot of time.
The Bridges of Saint Paul is coming along just fine.

Just a though pt. II

Hypocrisy is a human trait that crosses all boundaries of attitudes or personalities. On somedays i wish humans as a whole weren't so hypocrisy prone or is hypocrosy human prone?
